It's been a while in the making and fixing bugs, but I'm pleased to announce that the TIG skin is finally here!

It does take a little while to get used to the colour of it, but once you have been using it for a few days you will start to love it!

I would like to thank , Dracio, , Lairin, Winter and Wolfhunter for their much appreciated feedback on the skin. They and the other skin testers have been using the skin now for roughly the past two weeks, and they decided that they would like it to become the default.

This skin offers more customisation for you the user, in that you can specify to have different backgrounds per area (or just have a single background). Currently we only have a small selection of backgrounds for you to choose from although this list will be expanding following another announcement in the near future. Your backgrounds can be selected in your Settings on the 'Background Changer' tab.

Please report all bugs that you find to the Site Faults area; http://theimperialgu...te-ideasfaults/, and a list of currently known bugs will be posted shortly.

If you are really disliking the skin, we would appreciate your feedback and the old skin is available to select, but we urge you to live with it for a while.


Update: Due to feedback received it is now possible to change the background colour of the skin here.

The alliance is primarily run by each of the guild leaders to monitor and help the progress of all of the guilds, the guild leaders and then overseen by the ambassadors of TIG who work alongside the Amadrus X who are there to ensure that the alliance is heading in the correct direction.

The ambassadors’ duty is to lead the alliance in the absence of Amadrus X and make sure that it is moving forward in the correct direction, to deal with any problems that should occur, they have the final say in matters, and their decisions should always be obeyed.

Guild Leaders:
The role of a guild leader is to ensure the safety of the guild within the alliance and to make sure that their officer team helps the guild be the best and stays strong, they are in charge of promoting potential officer candidates and demoting any officer who is not fulfilling their position.

Miscellaneous:

• All guild leaders, ambassadors and officers are to enforce the alliance and guild rules in their own guild, and to take appropriate action against members in your guild who are causing disturbance and/or breaking the alliance rules. No member is too kicked without valid reasoning and all members are to be treated as equals.
  
• All guild leaders, ambassadors and officers should attend Leaders/Officers Meetings as often as possible.
  
• All guild leaders, ambassadors and officers should have Ventrilo for use in alliance meetings, even if they do not speak they are required to listen to what is being said.
  
• All guild leaders, ambassadors and officers should attempt to recruit new members as often as possible, and inform all new members of the alliance rules, encourage them to register and participate on the forums and
  
• All guild leaders, ambassadors and officers should try to help members and provide information relating to any questions they have concerning TIG or GW to the best of their ability.
  
• Use your guild forum on the main forums for any long-term guild announcements.
  
• Any grievances with any other leader/officer within the alliance should be raised with the ambassadors and Amadrus X in private.
  
• No officer is to be demoted without a valid reason.
  
• All guild leaders, ambassadors and officers should promote their guild and the alliance and encourage alliance/guild events.

What does it take to become an officer?
As most know, only those who show loyalty and commitment and earn the trust of most if not all the officers/leaders in the alliance will ever be promoted. If you have been a member for 1 day, 3 days or even a week do not expect or even think this is enough time to earn promotion.

It can take up to 2 months to be promoted and we do have a waiting list of people that are awaiting a position, so spamming or constantly asking daily to become an officer will get you nowhere or could even result in you being kicked. Some people seem to forget we have 600+ members who are in the same position as you, so you spamming to be promoted will get you nowhere apart from further down the list of possible candidates.

Granted there are those who are forgotten about but it is going to happen, the only way I can think to solve this is not to be the 'grey man'. Be one of those who is always helping, giving advice to inexperienced members and get to know those who are in positions in the alliance because at the end of the day its them who decide who gets promoted and demoted.

As most will have noticed some officers move between guilds, this is so the alliance can have the most efficient team in each guild and offer support in times of need. As you know not everyone likes another person, or can handle their current role as leader or officer so it is best to move officers and leaders around to see who works best with whom. We apologise for any disturbance this may cause but we are one big alliance, and officers have a duty to the alliance not just their guild.

To be selected as an officer in the alliance you should meet the following requirements:

• Be able to follow the standard alliance rules.
  
• Be online regularly.
  
• Prove that they are worthy of being an officer.
  
• Have Ventrilo and a forum account.
  
• Have trust and respect for the guild and alliance.
  
• Have the trust and respect from other officers and leaders.

Those who pass these minimum requirements will be promoted on a trial basis to officer; your performance will then be evaluated for up to a month and only on successful completion of this will you be a full officer.
